Indefinite Hiatus.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry, I've been gone for about two weeks now and I wish to finally provide closure.

I will not be checking this account frequently anymore (after this week). I'm not sure if I'll return to it in the future.


Why you might ask?


Because I find running this account to be a chore. I do appreciate all of my watchers, but I find myself forcing myself and pressuring myself into making content that I think my audience would like and not art I want to make myself. This account was a hobby at first which then turned into a job, an underpaid, stressful job. 

I struggled, four times a week to try to rush and get something drawn in less than two hours just to remain active on this account, a self-imposed deadline that probably helped stagnate my art than anything else. I got stuck in the trap of doing the same thing over and over again with my art and not pushing myself out of my comfort zone to improve.

I tried making myself like that content, and trying to redesign a fursona was the final push. But that's not me anymore, and I can't force myself to like furry art, especially when my furry characters are not developed at all and my heart is with my human characters.

That and the fact I don't enjoy Pokemon as much as I used to anymore.

Instead of going point blank and drastically changing the type of content I post, I'm moving on and leaving this account as an archive. Pat of me just wants to deactivate this account and be done with t, but I know I'd regret that later down the line.

So what now?


I'm not sure to be honest. I'll be monitoring this account for a few more days, perhaps a week. But I will not be posting anything new. I'm deciding whether I want to move to another deviantArt account or jump websites as a whole. I'm unhappy with the way deviantArt's site has been going to be completely honest and I'm not sure I want to associate with it anymore due to the negative stigma the internet as a whole has towards it.

If I do make a move to a new account, I will not give it out publicly. If you really want to know, note me and I'll update you with any future decisions, but remember- I might not even stay on deviantArt.

And note that my focus will shift from animal characters to human, digital art and pixel art to a variety of mediums (3D, watercolor, pen, marker, digital, pixel, animation, etc).

If I do let you know my account, please respect me in not spreading it publicly. I want a fresh start and I don't want to be associated with this account again.

Pixel Practice Requests [OPEN]

So I've been doing a lot of pixels lately, which is fun and all; however I don't think that I'll get too far if I get comfortable doing the same subjects over and over again. 

As such I am opening myself to suggestions on what to pixel so I can experiment a bit more.

To clarify these will be tiny pixels 100px and under in most cases for the sake of practicing color, animation and style.
The pixels will be uploaded to one of my secondary accounts and they will be free for use as deviantArt profile decorations or what not.

This is not for:

-Original Characters
-Copyrighted Characters

This is for:

-Objects
-Textures
-Particles

Examples : Food, weapons, everyday objects, specific animal breeds, etc

Since these are not commissioned works, and rather something I'm doing for fun and learning in my free time
the time I might take before posting them might be a bit on the longer side.

Looking forward into 2018

2017 Highlights


Over all 2017 was quite the year I suppose, A lot of stress went into trying to run this account which is something I will be trying to fix for the upcoming year.

Looking back at my Goals set in my last yearly journal, I think I did pretty well? 
 To sum it up I
  • Improved my digital painting skills
  • Improved my human anatomy
  • Posted a few references (I need to do more hhh)
  • Didn't give up on pixels
  • Completed my dA profile theme

Anyhow, onto the new year~

2018 CHANGES

I don't know how many people will read this, but I hope the people who do will understand what I'm going to say here.

For the past handful of months (perhaps half a year even) I've tried to keep a strict schedule of posting on this dA account, taking it almost too seriously. I've tried to upload four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday if you didn't notice) at around 4-5 PM, leading me to get stressed and worn down very fast.

To combat this, I will be possibly slowing down posts. I'll try to stick to three times a week with serious art (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and then posting additional art on Sundays (references, sketch pages, etc)

I've also been getting burn out from forcing myself to draw fan art I don't really care about.
I'm sorry if this is selfish but I'm going to attempt to start drawing
what I want to draw.

In order to balance things, I will open another social media (twitter, instagram or tumblr, I'm looking at you), to post WIP's, Sketches and things that didn't exactly make the cut for this account.

2018 GOALS

01. deviantArt

  • Rehaul my profile page design- the art is outdated and I know I can push the game theme further
  • Open more types of commissions (different styles and the like)
  • Continue with daily discussion threads + be more active in them
  • Get people interested in my original characters
  • Rehaul my journal skin (not this one)
  • Post more Original Content
  • Hit 5000+ watchers

02. Art

  • Focus on improving backgrounds: goal being able to achieve Visual Novel quality
  • Focus on human anatomy weak spots (legs, feet, arms especially)
  • Focus on color theory + shading
  • Improve realism in painting
  • Keep a somewhat consistent style.

03. Characters

  • Work on character development + writing
  • Create + Post more character reference sheets
  • Work on redesigning characters who don't appear as unique or visually appealing
  • Start working on webcomic + post webcomic

04. Other Plans

  • Start up another social media for WIPs, Sketches, etc
  • Work on 3D modeling

Animated  Blink Icon

A simple blink animation of your character done on a 50 PX x 50 PX canvas, suited for deviantArt.

Characters with detailed designs (such as hair or accessories) will cost an additional $2/200:points:
A second animation loop (such as blinking/winking/etc) will cost an additional $2/200:points:

Why does this cost so much? Each Sprite I do takes consists of at least 10, averaging 20 layers that 
I move and edit one at a time to create each frame. Compare that to less than ten for icon animations.
This quickly eats up my time and patience when it comes to animation. One of these sprites with one loop can take up to three hours to complete.

Mystery Bag

Add animation for  200:points: / $2

A piece of pixel art of your character that is not one of the standard options on the list. It may be because it is an experimental style, icon or does not fit the sizes (oversize, larger than 150px x 150px). These generally won't have animation unless you order that option specifically.

You can decide whether it is fully mystery or an icon-compatible size.
